Fund Development Advisory Group
The next meeting for the Fund Development working
group will be held on the second Monday Monday May 14, 2012 at
2:00 pm (AST).

This Volunteer group identifies opportunities for funding to
support the ongoing operations of the Coalition-SGSL. This includes
seeking out avenues for corporate sponsorship, funding from
philanthropic organizations and foundations. Further, the group
advises on possible marketable products for sale and helps with
fund-raising activities to complement the major revenues.
The group became active in early
2007. Core funding pressure in the 4th Quarter of fiscal
year 2006/7 precipitated this long overdue activity. In 2010 a
Fund-raising Policy was developed and subsequently approved by the
Steering Committee in March 2011. A fund-raising procedure is to be
drafted in the coming year. This sustainability goal is best
served through innovation and hard work of all members that begins
with a series of targeted approaches (fundraising events,
partnerships, foundation and member support).
