Coalition AGM Promises to be an Impressive Event
Former Federal Labour Minister Claudette Bradshaw headlines the agenda of June 5th For non-profits everywhere frazzled by funding constraints and bureaucracy, the recommendations presented in the Blueprint for Action Building a Foundation for Self Sufficiency, presents hope!
On June 5th Mrs. Bradshaw, leader of New Brunswick Community Non-profit Task Force, will present the reports findings which include recommendations on how to strengthen the non-profit sector and strategies on how to enhance relations between non-profits and government. She will also discuss the importance of Environmental Non-Government Organizations and their contribution to sustainable development. The Annual General Meeting will also be the launch pad for the Coalitions four new priorities from its recently adopted 2008-2011 Strategic Plan.
Other agenda items (see poster) include the 2007-08 Financial Report, elections for Steering Committee vacancies and various Working Group reports with and a special presentation by John Legault, chair of Technical Advisory Working Group. John Legault will unveil the new on-line Regional Sustainability Atlas - a mapping tool to help community groups make better ecosystem management decisions.
